*Opposition Leader Madhusudhanachari Meets Governor, Seeks Continuation of Single Window Chairmen*
*Hyderabad:* Telangana Legislative Council Opposition Leader *Sirikonda Madhusudhanachari, along with chairmen of cooperative societies, met Governor **Shiv Pratap Shukla* at Raj Bhavan and submitted a representation seeking the continuation of Single Window Cooperative Society Chairmen.
Speaking on the occasion, Madhusudhanachari alleged that the state government is attempting to appoint nominated persons in cooperative societies through a “conspiratorial move,” which he said is against the Cooperative Societies Act.
He stated that the chairmen elected in 2020 have a valid tenure until 2025 and questioned the government’s efforts to nominate individuals of its choice instead of conducting elections.
“We have submitted a memorandum to the Governor on this issue and requested him to ensure that no premature action is taken by the state government,” Madhusudhanachari said.
He further noted that the Governor responded positively to their concerns and assured them that the matter would be examined appropriately.
The delegation urged the Governor to safeguard the democratic functioning of cooperative institutions and ensure adherence to the provisions of the Cooperative Societies Act.
