Falaknuma Police Intensify Night Enforcement: Seven Persons Convicted in Three Separate Preventive Cases
Illegal Knife Possession, Ganja Possession, and Late-Night Quarrelling – SHO M. Appala Naidu Warns Against Anti-Social Activities

Hyderabad, July 24, 2026: Under the leadership of M. Appala Naidu, Station House Officer (SHO), Falaknuma Police Station, the Falaknuma Police have intensified late-night patrolling, suspicious person checks, and preventive policing to ensure public safety and maintain law and order within the police station limits.
As part of these special enforcement drives, seven persons involved in three separate incidents were produced before the Hon’ble IX Special Judicial Magistrate, Nampally, Hyderabad, who pronounced conviction judgments on 24 July 2026.

- Two Convicted for Illegal Possession of Knives
During late-night suspicious person checking, Syed Ibrahim (25) and Mohd. Amer Pasha (26), both residents of Falaknuma, were found carrying knives without any lawful reason. Separate e-petty cases were registered under Section 61(a) of the City Police Act.
The Hon’ble Court convicted both accused in STC No. 5195/2026 and STC No. 5194/2026, sentencing each to 7 days’ simple imprisonment.
- One Convicted for Possession of Ganja Sachet
In another late-night checking operation, Mohammad Ali (21), an auto driver and resident of Falaknuma, was found in possession of a small ganja sachet. He was booked under Section 61(b) of the City Police Act.
The Hon’ble Court convicted the accused in STC No. 5197/2026 and sentenced him to 4 days’ simple imprisonment.
- Four Convicted for Late-Night Quarrelling
In a separate preventive action, Falaknuma Police apprehended Syed Shahnawaz (18), Syed Imran (20), Mohd. Fahad (18), and Syed Shahbaz (21) for quarrelling and creating a public nuisance during late-night hours. Cases were registered under Section 61(b) of the City Police Act.
The Hon’ble Court convicted all four accused in:
STC No. 5198/2026 – Syed Shahnawaz
STC No. 5200/2026 – Syed Imran
STC No. 5196/2026 – Mohd. Fahad
STC No. 5199/2026 – Syed Shahbaz
Each was sentenced to 4 days’ simple imprisonment.

M. Appala Naidu, SHO, Falaknuma Police Station, stated that Hyderabad City Police are committed to maintaining peace, public order, and a safe environment for all citizens. Individuals found carrying dangerous weapons, possessing narcotic substances, or engaging in quarrels and other anti-social activities will face strict legal action.
