Mancherial Collector Kumar Deepak Inspects Gollavagu Project, Reviews Development Works in Bheemaram

Mancherial/Bheemaram, August 18: (Patriotic Views) Mancherial District Collector Kumar Deepak, IAS, conducted an extensive inspection of development works and public institutions in Bheemaram mandal, reviewing the water storage position at the Gollavagu Medium Irrigation Project and assessing the progress of key government infrastructure and welfare initiatives.

Inspecting the Gollavagu project, the Collector reviewed the existing water storage levels and, in view of the rainfall deficit prevailing across Telangana, advised farmers to avoid paddy cultivation and instead take up alternative crops that require less water. He said adopting low water-intensive crops would help conserve available water resources and reduce the impact of deficient rainfall.

During the visit, Kumar Deepak inspected the proposed site for the Tahsildar’s office, reviewed the progress of Model Indiramma housing works, and examined the construction of the new Village Organisation (VO) building. He directed officials to expedite all ongoing works and ensure they are completed within the stipulated timeframe.

The Collector also inspected the Primary Health Centre, checking hospital wards, medicine stocks, records and sanitation. At the Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya, he reviewed the construction of additional classrooms and the dining hall, directing officials to speed up the works. He instructed authorities to provide quality meals to students as per the government-prescribed menu and reviewed the academic preparedness of Class X students, urging teachers to take special measures to improve examination results. He later visited the Government Tribal Boys Ashram High School, where he inspected classrooms, kitchens and sanitation facilities, stressing the need to maintain high standards in education and student welfare.
