Hyderabad, May 23:
To accelerate the State’s economic progress, Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu directed officials of all departments to focus on mobilizing additional revenue sources in line with the budget requirements for the current financial year. A high-level meeting of the “Resource Mobilization Cabinet Sub-Committee” was held on Friday under his chairmanship at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Secretariat. Committee members, Irrigation Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy and IT & Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu, attended the meeting.
During the meeting, the ministers and officials reviewed in detail the exploration of additional revenue avenues in the State and the progress of various departments. The Deputy Chief Minister emphasized that resource mobilization should align with the proposed budget estimates for the financial year 2026–27. He instructed officials to completely plug leakages and fully tap all available revenue sources to achieve the budget targets.
He further directed that all departments should work towards enhancing revenues strictly as per the pre-defined timeline (calendar). Stressing the importance of the weekly review, he stated that senior officials from all departments must attend the meeting every Friday. In case of unavoidable circumstances, they should participate through video conference.
