Kamareddy Rajampet SI Caught Red-Handed by ACB While Accepting ₹30,000 Bribe
A Sub-Inspector of Police attached to Rajampet Police Station in Kamareddy district was caught red-handed by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) while allegedly accepting a ₹30,000 bribe at his residence on Thursday. The accused officer was identified as Duvvala Anjaneyulu.
According to the ACB, the officer allegedly demanded the bribe from the complainant in return for granting station bail to the complainant’s son in a criminal case and for extending favourable treatment while filing the charge sheet. Acting on the complaint, ACB officials laid a trap and recovered the tainted cash from the officer’s possession.
The ACB arrested the Sub-Inspector after the successful trap operation. He was being produced before the II Additional Special Judge for Trial of SPE and ACB Cases at Nampally, Hyderabad. The case is currently under investigation.
The ACB has appealed to the public to report any demands for bribes by government officials through its toll-free helpline 1064, WhatsApp number 9440446106, or its official social media platforms. The agency assured that strict action would be taken against those involved in corruption.
