29-07-2026 Hyderabad Narcotics Enforcement Wing (H-NEW) conducted an Anti-Drug Awareness Programme at RTC Kalabhavan, Old Nallakunta, attended by students of Sri Chaitanya Educational Institutions, Narayanaguda Zone, with the objective of educating them about the dangers of narcotic drug abuse and promoting a drug-free lifestyle.

During the programme, Sri Vaibhav Gaikwad Raghunath, IPS, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Task Force/H-NEW/H-FAST, addressed the gathering and sensitized the students to the harmful effects of drug abuse. He explained how substance abuse can destroy the bright future of students, adversely affect their physical and mental health, hinder their academic and professional careers, and expose them to severe legal consequences under the provisions of the law. He further advised the students to stay away from narcotic drugs, resist peer pressure, and avoid associating with individuals who encourage or engage in substance abuse.

Sri Shiva Kumar, Dean, Sri Chaitanya Educational Institutions, appreciated the initiative taken by the Hyderabad Narcotics Enforcement Wing (H-NEW). He stated that such awareness programmes play a vital role in empowering students to make informed decisions, understand the serious consequences of drug abuse, and adopt healthy, responsible, and drug-free lifestyles.

The Hyderabad Narcotics Enforcement Wing (H-NEW) reaffirmed its commitment to conducting regular anti-drug awareness programmes in educational institutions across the city to protect the youth from the menace of narcotic drugs and to contribute towards making Hyderabad a drug-free city.
