Jagtial, August 29: An RTC bus driver suffered a heart attack while driving a bus from Maddunoor to Jagtial on Saturday, reportedly averting a major accident through his quick response.

According to reports, driver Lakshman suddenly experienced a heart attack while the bus was on its way to Jagtial. Despite his condition, he managed to slow down the vehicle and bring it under control, preventing a possible mishap involving passengers.

Passengers noticed that Lakshman was facing a medical emergency and immediately contacted 108 for an ambulance. However, they reportedly raised concerns over the delay in the ambulance’s arrival.

As the ambulance did not arrive in time, passengers took Lakshman to a nearby hospital in an auto-rickshaw for treatment. His condition is currently said to be stable.

According to reports, Lakshman is scheduled to retire on Monday, making the incident particularly noteworthy.
