Bhadradri Kothagudem, August 20 (Patriotic Views): Bhadradri Kothagudem District Collector Ankit, IAS, conducted a surprise inspection on Thursday at the Telangana Social Welfare Residential Boys’ School and College in Madanapalli village of Dammapeta Mandal. During the visit, he inspected the school building, classrooms, digital classroom, kitchen, dining hall, and other facilities while reviewing the amenities being provided to students.
The Collector expressed serious displeasure over the unhygienic condition of the digital classroom, where garbage and poor sanitation were observed. He directed the school authorities to immediately undertake a comprehensive cleaning of the entire campus, including classrooms and surrounding areas, and submit photographs of the completed work. Stressing the importance of a healthy learning environment, he said it is the administration’s responsibility to ensure that students study in clean and hygienic surroundings.
Interacting with students in the dining hall, Collector Ankit enquired about the day’s menu and the quality of food being served. He questioned the warden over the discrepancy and instructed that meals must strictly adhere to the prescribed menu. He made it clear that negligence in providing nutritious and quality food would not be tolerated.
The Collector also expressed dissatisfaction over poor cleanliness in the dining hall despite the availability of dustbins. Emphasizing that there should be no compromise on students’ health, safety, and welfare, he directed the authorities to ensure regular monitoring of the institution’s overall functioning.
Taking serious note of the lapses in school administration, sanitation, and implementation of the approved menu, Collector Ankit ordered the issuance of show-cause notices to the Principal and the Warden. He warned that strict disciplinary action would be taken against any staff found negligent in performing their duties.
Later, the Collector reviewed the school’s electrical infrastructure and instructed officials to immediately submit proposals for the installation of additional lights and other essential electrical equipment.
