Hyderabad: Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy visited the Mother Dairy Park in Nallakunta and inaugurated an open gym established at the park to promote healthy living and physical fitness among residents.

Speaking after the inauguration, Kishan Reddy said that the changing modern lifestyle and increasingly hectic daily routines are creating several physical and mental health challenges. He expressed concern over food adulteration and the excessive use of chemical-based inputs in food production, which he said are affecting people’s health.

The Union Minister also highlighted the growing impact of mobile phones and social media, saying that the virtual world and unnecessary competitive pressures are contributing to mental stress among both youngsters and adults.

Kishan Reddy emphasised the importance of Yoga, describing it as a valuable contribution of India’s ancient culture and sages to the world. He appreciated Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s efforts to encourage people to make yoga and healthy living a part of their daily lives.

He said the establishment of open gyms is part of this broader effort to provide people with opportunities to maintain a healthy lifestyle without additional expense.

Describing the Mother Dairy Park as more than just a recreational space, Kishan Reddy said it can serve as a platform where people come together to promote health and fitness.

He urged citizens to dedicate some time every day to yoga, exercise and physical activity to remain energetic and work towards a healthier and longer life.
