Hyderabad, August 25, 2026: Jubilee Hills Inspector M. Muttu Yadav has been suspended by senior police officials in connection with the case involving Sumanth, a former Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to Telangana Minister Konda Surekha.

The suspension was reportedly ordered over alleged lapses in registering the First Information Report (FIR) and negligence in tracing and arresting Sumanth despite developments in the case.

Muttu Yadav had assumed charge as Jubilee Hills Inspector only around three weeks ago. The latest action comes amid increased scrutiny by senior police officials over the handling of the case and the role of personnel involved in the investigation.

Further departmental action may be taken depending on the findings of the ongoing inquiry.
