Hyderabad, August 23, 2026:
‘One N Only’, ridden by jockey Akshay Kumar and trained by D. Netto, emerged victorious in the Governor’s Trophy (1,200 metres), the feature event of the Hyderabad Monsoon Races–2026 held at the Hyderabad Race Club in Malakpet on Sunday.

Telangana Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla, who is also the Chief Patron of the Hyderabad Race Club, attended the races and watched the proceedings from the Governor’s Box. The races witnessed keen competition and enthusiasm throughout the day.

The Governor later presented the Governor’s Trophy to the winning connections of ‘One N Only’ and congratulated owners Ramaseshu Eyunni, Shankar Srinivas, Ashok Ranpise and Donald Anthony Netto, along with jockey Akshay Kumar and trainer D. Netto.

Earlier, Hyderabad Race Club representatives briefed the Governor on the history and evolution of the club. He also visited the club museum and took an interest in its historical exhibits and memorabilia.

Hyderabad Race Club Chairperson R. Surender Reddy and other officials were present on the occasion.
