New Life for Stalled Projects with Minister’s Initiative
Hyderabad, 31 March 2026
The Telangana government has revived long-pending projects under the CMSTEI (Chief Minister Scheduled Tribes Entrepreneurship and Innovation) scheme, bringing fresh hope to tribal youth entrepreneurs. Subsidies that had been pending for nearly two and a half years have now been released, enabling beneficiaries to move forward with their projects.
Across the state, 200 candidates were selected under the scheme, out of which 18 beneficiaries have received final proceedings. Due to delays in subsidy disbursement required for project grounding, beneficiaries had been facing significant difficulties. From the ₹50 crore allocated for the current financial year, ₹12.30 crore was released for one quarter, out of which ₹8.16 crore has been disbursed as subsidies to 18 beneficiaries.
Under the scheme, 35% of the project cost is provided as a government subsidy, 55% is covered through bank loans, and the remaining 10% is borne by the beneficiary. With the release of subsidies, stalled projects are now expected to resume, creating employment opportunities for many.
Beneficiaries expressed gratitude, stating that the issue was resolved due to the initiative of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, and Tribal Welfare Minister Adluri Laxman Kumar. On Tuesday, they met Minister Adluri Laxman Kumar at the Secretariat and felicitated him in appreciation.
