Urea is under the Centre’s control, but KTR is misleading farmers: Ponnam Prabhakar
Hyderabad (Staff Reporter) – Minister Ponnam Prabhakar strongly reacted to K. T. Rama Rao’s recent statements, saying that KTR’s language has stooped to a “third-class level.” He said that Sudarshan Reddy, son of Telangana, former High Court & Supreme Court judge, and a constitutional expert, has been chosen by the INDIA bloc as its Vice Presidential candidate. “With such a visionary leader in Parliament, the Constitution’s protection will be ensured,” he added.
Ponnam Prabhakar said that instead of presenting the truth before the public, the BRS is indulging in misleading politics. He alleged that KTR tried to provoke farmers over the issue of urea, despite the fact that urea production and distribution fall under the jurisdiction of the Central government, not the state. “After being a minister for ten years, KTR still doesn’t even know where urea comes from,” he remarked sarcastically.
The Minister stressed that the Congress government in Telangana is committed to the welfare of farmers and the poor. “Free bus travel for women, 200 units of free electricity, subsidized gas cylinders, Indiramma housing, subsidized rice, bonus on paddy, 60,000 jobs, and Rythu Bharosa are clear examples of our dedication,” he said, accusing the opposition of conspiring out of frustration.
He further alleged that BJP and BRS are deliberately creating artificial shortages to spread fear among the people and damage the positive atmosphere in favor of Congress. The Chief Minister, he noted, has already appealed to all parties to support Sudarshan Reddy, the son of Telangana, as Vice President.
Questioning BRS’s contribution over the last decade, Ponnam Prabhakar asked why the second TMC of Kaleshwaram has not yet been started and why the third TMC was taken up without completing the second. “The people deserve an answer,” he said.
Criticizing the Election Commission, the Minister said that people believe the Commission is functioning with bias under BJP’s influence
