Hyderabad: New voters and those who make corrections to their details in the electoral rolls in Telangana are likely to receive new Electoral Photo Identity Cards (EPICs) about three months after the completion of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.

The Election Commission of India and the Telangana Chief Electoral Office are making arrangements for issuing the new voter cards. Officials said people who submit Form-6 for new voter registration and Form-6A for overseas Indian voter registration will receive new EPIC cards. Voters who submit Form-8 for address changes, corrections, replacement of EPICs or other updates will also receive cards with updated details.

Young people who turn 18 on or before October 1, 2026, have been encouraged to apply through Form-6. Those who submit Form-6 by October 1 will be included in the final electoral roll scheduled to be published on October 19.

Meanwhile, notices and hearings related to the SIR process are continuing. Notices are being automatically generated by software when discrepancies are found in names or other voter details. Officials said voters with anomalies or those whose details could not be mapped with the 2002 SIR list will receive notices and must submit the required documents.
