Hyderabad: The Telangana government will present State Teacher Awards to 123 teachers and faculty members on the occasion of Teachers’ Day on September 5.

The awards are given every year to recognise teachers for their outstanding and dedicated services in the field of education. For the 2026 awards, proposals were submitted by various departments under the Education Department and reviewed by State Level Committees.

The committees selected 52 teachers from School Education, 11 from Intermediate Education, three from Technical Education, 28 from universities and university-level institutions, and 29 from affiliated colleges. The list of 123 awardees also includes a physical director and a librarian, said Yogita Rana, Secretary to the Government.
