Husnabad; Gollapalli, Bheemadevarapally Mandal: Telangana Transport and BC Welfare Minister Ponnam Prabhakar has announced a series of development initiatives for Gollapalli village, reaffirming the government’s commitment to improving infrastructure, public services, and welfare benefits.

The Minister visited the village as part of the “Palle Palleku Ponnam Anna – Palle Pallelo Praja Palana” programme. During the visit, he inaugurated a free veterinary camp, administered preventive treatment for reproductive diseases in cattle, and reviewed the implementation of welfare schemes and development works with officials in the presence of villagers.

He also received petitions from residents regarding civic, social, and personal issues and directed officials to resolve them on priority.

The Minister highlighted the government’s achievements in Gollapalli, including the completion of three Indiramma houses, financial assistance under welfare schemes such as Gruha Jyothi, Mahalakshmi LPG subsidy, Rythu Bharosa, Rythu Bima, farm loan waiver, and Kalyana Lakshmi, besides the distribution of new ration cards and support for women’s self-help groups.

He said internal CC roads worth ₹25 lakh had been completed, Mission Bhagiratha drinking water works were taken up, and several infrastructure and welfare initiatives had benefited villagers.

Reiterating his commitment to the Gouravelli Project, Ponnam Prabhakar said the government was providing compensation for land acquisition required for canal works and that the project would be completed soon to ensure water supply.

Responding to demands raised by villagers and Sarpanch Netula Chandramohan, the Minister announced an Open Gym and a Water Purification Plant for Gollapalli. He also assured sanction of ₹20 lakh for a Gram Panchayat building and ₹10 lakh for a Mahila Bhavan after land acquisition is completed.

He said proposals had been sent for the construction of the road from Gollapalli Bus Station towards Mutharam–Gatla Narsingapur and directed officials to prepare proposals for additional road connectivity, resolve electricity pole issues, improve drinking water facilities, and take up more CC roads and drainage works.

The Minister urged residents to construct soak pits under the Jala Siri scheme, advised farmers to adopt drought-resistant crops and oil palm cultivation in view of possible El Niño conditions, and appealed to villagers to reduce plastic usage by adopting Steel Bank kits.

He informed that applications for new pensions would be accepted until August 31 and encouraged eligible beneficiaries to apply.

Ponnam Prabhakar also stressed the importance of promoting sports, strengthening government schools, ensuring regular health check-ups, administering HPV vaccines to adolescent girls, and adopting rooftop solar systems under the PM Surya Ghar scheme.

The programme was attended by district and mandal officials, public representatives, farmers, women self-help group members, and villagers.
