Hyderabad: Praja Shanthi Party president K.A. Paul has extended an open invitation to former Telangana Minister Konda Surekha to join his party, describing her as a “powerful leader” and offering her a prominent role within the party.

Shortly before Konda Surekha was removed from the Telangana Cabinet, Paul released a video on social media inviting her to join the Praja Shanthi Party. He said that if she felt sidelined in her current political setup, his party was ready to provide her with a significant platform.

Paul also alleged that political job security in the Congress government was largely enjoyed by upper-caste leaders, while leaders from Backward Classes and weaker sections were being targeted and left vulnerable. He claimed that the Praja Shanthi Party was the only political platform capable of delivering genuine justice to BC communities in Telangana.

Meanwhile, Konda Surekha was removed from the Telangana Cabinet on Thursday. Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy decided to drop her from the Council of Ministers with immediate effect, and a recommendation to this effect was sent to Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla.

The action came after the TPCC Disciplinary Committee recommended stringent action against Surekha in connection with alleged “anti-Chief Minister” and “anti-Congress” remarks made by her daughter. The committee had recommended her removal from the Cabinet.

The development has triggered fresh political discussion in Telangana, with K.A. Paul’s invitation adding another dimension to the fallout surrounding Surekha’s removal from the State Cabinet.
