Hyderabad, September 1: Jayashankar Bhupalpally District Collector Rahul Sharma has directed revenue officials to conduct a comprehensive mandal- and village-wise review of lands falling under Section 22A and prepare accurate and verified data without any discrepancies.

The Collector held a meeting with revenue officials at the IDOC office on Tuesday to review the progress of land re-survey, Bhu Bharati, Sada Bainama applications and the disposal of applications received during revenue meetings. He instructed officials to prepare detailed proformas containing the status of agricultural and non-agricultural lands sector-wise and village-wise.

Officials were directed to thoroughly verify details of lands classified under various Section 22A categories, including 1A, 1B, 1C and 1D, as of December 2025, and compare them with the data prepared in 2016 and 2021. Where discrepancies are found in the extent of land recorded at the mandal or village level, officials must identify the reasons and undertake necessary corrections.

The Collector also instructed officials to collect old land records available at Tahsildar offices and compare them with current records before preparing comprehensive reports. Pending corrections to land records, proposals and reports must be taken up immediately and completed at the earliest. For cases involving conversion of agricultural land into non-agricultural land, officials were asked to prepare the required proformas as per rules and submit them with the signatures of the Tahsildar, RDO and Additional Collector (Revenue).

He further directed officials to verify the actual nature of forest lands, lands connected with irrigation projects and Singareni lands. Details related to the Land Acquisition Act and awards should also be taken into consideration while determining whether lands fall under agricultural or non-agricultural categories as per the applicable rules.

The Collector called for special attention to land re-survey works and instructed officials to coordinate with trained licensed surveyors and GPOs to accelerate and complete the process. He also directed that the progress of land surveys be continuously monitored and that a review meeting on survey works be conducted every week.

All mandal Tahsildars were instructed to submit detailed reports on their land-related action plans to the District Collector by November 30. The Collector stressed that land record corrections, verification of Section 22A lands, re-survey and classification of agricultural and non-agricultural lands should be completed in a coordinated manner.

Emphasising the importance of accuracy, Rahul Sharma said there should be no errors or discrepancies in the Section 22A land data. Officials from all mandals were directed to coordinate closely and submit complete and verified reports to the Collector’s office within the stipulated deadline.

Additional Collector Ashok Kumar, Trainee Deputy Collector Naveen Reddy, and Tahsildars from all mandals attended the meeting.
