Women Are Not Less in Any Field: Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar
At a special program held today (27th August 2025) at Court Chowrasta, Karimnagar, Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar distributed 15 free electric auto-rickshaws to underprivileged women. District Collector Pamela Satpati, former Mayor Sunil Rao, and other senior officials were present on the occasion.
Speaking at the event, Bandi Sanjay Kumar said:
“The household prospers where women are given the keys. The family thrives where women are entrusted with financial responsibility.”
He emphasized that Prime Minister Narendra Modi entrusted the ₹50.65 lakh crore national budget to Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, proving that women are second to none in leadership. Under her stewardship, India rose from the 11th position to the 4th largest economy in the world.
The minister further highlighted that PM Modi has always prioritized women in leadership roles:
Nirmala Sitharaman became the first woman Finance Minister,
Sushma Swaraj served with distinction as External Affairs Minister,
Droupadi Murmu, a tribal woman, became the President of India,
Women officers have been inducted into the armed forces, playing key roles in operations like Sindoor.
Karimnagar Collector Pamela Satpati arranged two months of special training for the 15 women and facilitated their driving licenses. Interestingly, most of the beneficiaries are postgraduates and B.Tech graduates. Each electric auto, costing around ₹3.5 lakh, is equipped with modern technology, including a steel roof, dual-speaker FM system, and other advanced features. Compared to petrol/diesel autos, these vehicles save 70–80% in running costs and require very little maintenance.
The women expressed immense joy, saying they would never forget this support, which opened the door to self-employment and financial independence.
👉 Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar concluded:
“If given an opportunity, women can excel in every field. That is the true purpose of the ‘Mana Modi Kanuka’ (Our Modi’s Gift) scheme.”
