Union Minister Kishan Reddy Slams Telangana Govt Over ‘Six Guarantees’ at BJP State Office
Hyderabad: 3 April 2026 Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy on Friday launched a sharp attack on the Telangana government, alleging that the Congress-led administration has failed to implement its promised “six guarantees.”
Speaking to the media at the BJP State Office in Nampally, he termed Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s recent remarks in Kerala as “completely misleading.” The Chief Minister had reportedly claimed that the guarantees were successfully implemented in Telangana and invited Kerala citizens to verify them.
Kishan Reddy said that none of the schemes had been effectively implemented and accused the Congress party of misleading the public. “Claiming implementation of schemes that have not been delivered is not just a false statement—it is an attempt to deceive people,” he said.
Questioning specific promises, he asked whether the government had fulfilled its commitments such as ₹2,500 monthly assistance to women, enhancement of pensions from ₹2,000 to ₹4,000, and ₹6,000 for persons with disabilities. He also raised concerns over unfulfilled promises like ₹12 lakh financial assistance to Dalit families and allocation of ₹1 lakh crore for BC welfare, alleging that even ₹20,000 crore was not spent annually.
He further questioned the status of other assurances, including gold support for married women, free electric scooters, two lakh jobs for unemployed youth, and unemployment allowance, asking, “Where have all these promises gone?”
The Union Minister cautioned people against believing Congress claims, alleging that both Congress and Left parties have a history of misleading the public. He also made political remarks regarding the Chief Minister’s visit to Kerala, claiming that such statements hold no credibility among the people there.
Drawing parallels with the previous government led by K. Chandrashekar Rao, he alleged that the current administration is following a similar pattern of making promises without implementation.
On the issue of the Kaleshwaram project, Kishan Reddy demanded a comprehensive probe and called for a CBI investigation into the entire project, stating that limiting discussions to certain components would not reveal the full truth. He noted that the matter is currently under consideration in the High Court and emphasized the need for transparency.
He also criticized the Congress government for not taking action against alleged corruption cases involving leaders of the previous BRS regime, despite making strong allegations during elections.
“Being in power comes with responsibility. The Congress government must fulfill the promises made to the people of Telangana instead of shifting blame,” he asserted.
