Union Minister for Tourism & Culture, G. Kishan Reddy, joined local residents and party workers at Borabanda Division, Jubilee Hills Constituency, to listen to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s monthly Mann Ki Baat program.

Speaking on the occasion, Kishan Reddy said the Prime Minister has been sharing his thoughts with the nation through Mann Ki Baat on the last Sunday of every month without a break for several years. “No other leader in the world has done this — month after month, connecting directly with people and giving clear messages on development, culture, sports, and infrastructure,” he noted.

Highlighting Sunday’s address, he said the Prime Minister once again emphasized the importance of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, reminding that cleanliness leads to good health. He recalled that Modi’s very first initiative as PM was the Swachh Bharat Mission, through which millions of toilets were built in poor households, upholding women’s dignity.

The Minister further said that Modi paid tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel for his crucial role in Hyderabad’s integration into India through the 1948 Police Action. “It was Sardar Patel’s determination that defeated the Nizam’s forces and Razakars, enabling the Tricolor to be hoisted in Hyderabad,” he said.

Kishan Reddy announced that Hyderabad Liberation Day will be celebrated in a grand manner on September 17 at Parade Grounds, Secunderabad, with Defence Minister Rajnath Singh attending as chief guest. The day will also mark Vishwakarma Jayanti, which is being observed as National Labour Day. Coincidentally, September 17 is also Prime Minister Modi’s birthday, making it a day of three important celebrations in Telangana.

Speaking about Modi’s life, Kishan Reddy said: “Modi ji came from a very poor family. His father sold tea at a railway station, and Modi ji used to help him. From those humble beginnings, he rose to become Gujarat CM and for the last 11 years has been serving as the first OBC Prime Minister of India.” He added that Modi’s mother lived a simple life until her passing two years ago.

Condemning the Congress, Kishan Reddy alleged that some leaders, including Rahul Gandhi’s associates, made “cheap and inhumane remarks” about the Prime Minister’s late mother during a rally in Bihar. “People will teach a fitting lesson to such immoral leaders,” he said.

The Minister further targeted the Congress government in Telangana, accusing it of failing to deliver on promises such as the Mahalakshmi scheme (₹2,500 per month for women), unemployment allowance of ₹4,000, gold for poor brides, increased pensions, and BC welfare funds. “Not one rupee has reached people’s accounts, while Congress leaders are busy looting through land dealings and commissions,” he alleged.

Kishan Reddy concluded by stating: “Prime Minister Modi has no personal house or business; his brother runs a ration shop. Modi ji is serving the country with dedication, honesty, and without misusing even a single rupee. Those who insult his mother should be ashamed, and the people will give them a strong reply.”
