Union Minister Kishan Reddy Distributes Toilet Cleaning Machines in Government Schools under Secunderabad Assembly Constituency
Secunderabad, Hyderabad | Union Minister Kishan Reddy distributed toilet cleaning machines in various government schools across the Secunderabad Assembly Constituency.
The schools that received the machines include:
GHS Adayya Memorial, Ranigunj
Govt HS (B) Kalasiguda
Govt PS Parklane
Govt HS (New) Nallagutta
Arya Samaj School, RP Road
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister stressed the need for the government to take measures to improve the functioning of government schools in Hyderabad. He recalled that during his tenure as MLA, as many as 21 new school buildings were constructed in his constituency. He emphasized the urgent requirement for new buildings across Hyderabad based on student strength, as many existing school structures have become dilapidated and need reconstruction.
He further highlighted that while toilets exist in government schools, their maintenance has been neglected, with sanitation staff yet to be adequately appointed. “Some schools lack toilets altogether, causing dropouts, while in others, poor sanitation is leading to health issues among students,” he said. The provision of cleaning machines, he added, was part of efforts to address this issue.
The Minister urged the Congress government to allocate sufficient funds for the education sector as promised before elections and to prioritize basic infrastructure in schools, including toilet facilities.
He also underlined the immense value of education, noting its role in boosting confidence, developing skills, instilling moral values, eradicating poverty, sharpening intellect, and contributing to social and economic progress. Citing role models such as Mahatma Gandhi and Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam—who studied in government schools and went on to serve the nation—he inspired students to pursue higher education without hesitation or inferiority.
“Your teachers are well-qualified, having cleared competitive exams, and are fully capable of teaching on par with private schools. Never hesitate to clarify your doubts with them. By excelling in your studies, you can bring pride not only to your school but also to your teachers and parents,” he said.
Kishan Reddy assured students that abundant opportunities await them in both government and private sectors if they pursue education with dedication.
