Patriotic Views | Hyderabad | 30 August 2025 Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar felicitated legendary actor and politician Nandamuri Balakrishna at a grand ceremony organized by the World Book of Records, UK at Hotel Trident, Hitec City, Hyderabad. Balakrishna was honored for completing 50 years as a lead actor in cinema, a rare and historic achievement.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister hailed Balakrishna’s unparalleled journey:
“Continuing as a hero for more than half a century is an extraordinary feat. Even at the age of 65, Balayya’s charisma and energy remain truly unstoppable.”

Highlighting Balakrishna’s social contributions, Bandi Sanjay praised the Basavatarakam Indo American Cancer Hospital, established under Balakrishna’s leadership, which has served thousands of cancer patients. “Balayya is not only a reel hero but also a real-life hero who continues to serve people through his political and social work,” he noted.

The Minister recalled Balakrishna’s iconic performances in mythological, historical, social, and action films such as Samarasimha Reddy, Simha, Legend, Gautamiputra Satakarni, Akhanda, and Bhagavanth Kesari, which set new milestones at the box office.

He added that Balakrishna is the first Indian film actor to be recognized by the World Book of Records, while the Government of India honored him with the Padma Bhushan, and the Telangana Government conferred the NTR National Award for his artistic excellence.

“Balakrishna continues the great legacy of his father, NTR, in both cinema and public service,” Bandi Sanjay remarked.

Concluding his address, the Minister said:
“Whenever Telugu youth express joy, emotion, or anger, their spontaneous chant is—‘Jai Balayya!’ This craze itself reflects his greatness. Having his name inscribed in the World Book of Records is a fitting recognition. May he live long and continue to inspire Telugu people forever.”
