TGMRS Student’s Suspicious Death Sparks Outrage; Chairman Faheem Qureshi’s Silence Under Scrutiny

Zaheerabad: December 22 (Patriotic Views) The mysterious death of Sadia Maheem, a 14-year-old 9th-grade student at Telangana Government Minority Residential School (TGMRS) Buchanelli, has raised several questions. Sadia, the daughter of Sheikh Asif and a resident of Jamal Colony, Zaheerabad, suddenly fell unconscious after dinner and later passed away. According to her father, he was informed at 9:45 PM, despite the incident occurring around 8:00 PM.

Negligence by School Administration

Why did the school administration delay informing the parents? This crucial delay significantly reduced the chances of saving Sadia’s life. Furthermore, it was revealed that the school’s CCTV system was non-functional, making it difficult to ascertain the details of the incident.

Delayed Medical Assistance and Financial Issues

Sadia was first taken to the government hospital in Zaheerabad, then shifted to Sangareddy Government Hospital, and later to Hope Neuro Multispecialty Hospital. At Hope Hospital, her father was asked to pay ₹50,000 but could only arrange ₹30,000. Due to financial constraints, Sadia was finally moved to Gandhi Hospital, where she was declared dead at 4:00 AM.

Amjed Ullah Khan’s Strong Criticism

Amjed Ullah Khan, spokesperson for the Majlis Bachao Tehreek (MBT), criticized the school administration for its negligence, calling it a failure of minority school management. He stated, “When it comes to minority students, the government and concerned institutions display a lack of seriousness.” He demanded strict action against those responsible for such negligence.

Silence of Chairman Faheem Qureshi Questioned

Khan also questioned the silence of TGMRS Chairman Faheem Qureshi, stating that his lack of response or clarification reflects irresponsibility. He added that such silence from senior officials only exacerbates the problem.

Demands from the Government and Minority Institutions

Amjed Ullah Khan urged the government to immediately form a high-level committee to conduct a fair and impartial investigation into the incident, ensuring that the facts are uncovered. He also demanded the immediate activation of the school’s CCTV system and the implementation of strict safety measures to prevent similar incidents in the future. Khan emphasized the need for stern action against the school administration and the chairman for their negligence. He further called for immediate financial assistance to be provided to the bereaved family to help alleviate their suffering.

These steps, he asserted, would not only ensure justice for the victim but also restore the confidence of minority students and their parents in educational institutions.

This tragic incident serves as a test for the government in safeguarding minority students and rebuilding their trust. Immediate action is necessary to prevent such tragedies in the future.
