Terrorism Has No Religion: Strong Reaction by Maulana Hafiz Mohd Riyaz Ahmed Qadri Husami on the Incidents in Pahalgam and Janaram Sangareddy

Hyderabad:
Condemning the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam in the strongest terms, Maulana Hafiz Mohammad Riyaz Ahmed Qadri Husami — Khalifa of Maulana Jaffer Pasha Aqil Sani Sahab— addressed the congregation at Masjid Mahmooda, Shastripuram, before the Friday prayers. He stated that some miscreants are trying to give the incident a Hindu-Muslim color by highlighting that the victim was asked about their religion before being killed. However, he emphasized that terrorism has no religion.
Maulana, while referring to Islamic teachings, said that every life is sacred in Islam, regardless of one’s religion, sect, or nationality. He stressed that a true Muslim never engages in violence or terrorism; instead, Islam is a religion of compassion, tolerance, and peace. Those who spread violence and terrorism have no connection to Islam and are merely promoting religious hatred.
Maulana Riyaz Ahmed Husami also expressed deep concern over the recent incident in Janaram, Sangareddy, where a madrasa was attacked, a dargah was damaged, and innocent students were harassed without any investigation. He criticized the silence and negligence of the government and reminded that during KCR’s rule, the Congress party was politically weak. However, due to the mistakes of the current government, many Muslims and people of Telangana supported Congress. But now, fresh riots have erupted, particularly targeting Muslims.
He demanded that the government take strict legal action against communal elements and terrorists to ensure justice and restore peace in society.
In conclusion, Maulana called upon Muslims to strengthen their connection with the Qur’an, represent true Islamic teachings through their character, and fulfill their religious and social responsibilities with sincerity and dedication.
