New Delhi: Telangana Irrigation Minister N. Uttam Kumar Reddy presented the State’s Unified Water Security Model at the inaugural Departmental Summit hosted by the Union Ministry of Jal Shakti in New Delhi.

During his presentation, the Minister outlined Telangana’s integrated approach to water security, highlighting the State Government’s key initiatives in irrigation development, water conservation and sustainable water resource management.

Uttam Kumar Reddy showcased the major outcomes and achievements of the government’s irrigation and water-conservation programmes, emphasising measures aimed at improving water availability, enhancing irrigation infrastructure and ensuring the efficient use of water resources across the state.

The presentation formed part of the national summit, where states shared best practices and innovative models for strengthening water security and promoting sustainable water management. Telangana’s model focused on integrated planning, conservation and long-term water resource sustainability.
