Telangana Invites Online Applications for Chief Minister’s Overseas Scholarship for Minority Students

Applications open from December 20 to January 19 for Fall 2025 admissions abroad; eligible students can receive up to ₹20 lakh plus airfare

Narayanpet, December 19 (Abdul Raheem / Patriotic Views): The District Minority Welfare Officer, M.A. Rasheed, has announced that online applications are invited from minority students under the Chief Minister’s Overseas Scholarship Scheme (CMOSS) for the Fall Season 2025, implemented by the Telangana State Minority Welfare Department.
Under this scheme, minority students belonging to Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Jain, Buddhist and Parsi communities who have secured admission into Postgraduate or Ph.D. programs in recognized foreign universities are eligible to apply. Admissions obtained between July 1, 2025 and December 31, 2025 will be considered.
Eligible students admitted to universities in countries such as the USA, UK, Australia, Canada, Singapore, Germany, South Korea, Japan, France and New Zealand can submit their online applications through the official website www.telanganaepass.cgg.gov.in.
The last date for online submission is January 19, 2026, up to 5:00 PM. After submitting the online application, candidates must submit the hard copy of the application along with all required documents and certificates to the District Minority Welfare Officer, Narayanpet, on or before February 20, 2026, by 5:00 PM.
Students selected under the scheme will be provided with financial assistance of ₹20 lakh, along with one-way airfare up to ₹60,000 or the actual fare, whichever is less.
Mr. Rasheed cautioned that strict legal action will be taken against candidates found submitting fake or forged certificates during document verification.
