Hyderabad, September 17 (Patriotic Views) – On the occasion of Praja Palana Dinotsavam, Telangana Chief Minister delivered a historic address emphasizing the state’s journey from struggle to democracy, and the government’s focus on education, women empowerment, and farmers’ welfare.
The Chief Minister recalled September 17, 1948, as a landmark day when the people of Telangana ended monarchical rule and established public governance. He also marked December 7, 2023, as another milestone in Telangana’s democratic history, highlighting the revival of people’s rule after a period of administrative challenges.
Emphasizing governance, he stated that the state administration operates without favoritism, nepotism, or bias, with decisions guided by public welfare and aspirations. He underscored the government’s commitment to balancing rapid development with social justice and equality, aiming to make Telangana a model state in both development and governance.
Education as a Priority:
The Chief Minister stressed that education is the foundation for Telangana’s progress. Additionally, plans are underway to establish Young India Sports University and Young India Skill University to nurture future-ready talent.
Universities to Compete Globally:
Noting the decline of prestigious state universities in the past decade, the Chief Minister announced steps to bring institutions like Osmania, Kakatiya, and Women’s Universities up to global standards. Women Empowerment:
The Chief Minister highlighted Telangana’s initiatives for women’s progress, citing programs under the Indira Mahila Shakti Policy. He shared success stories such as women-run petrol pumps in Narayanpet earning ₹15.5 lakh in six months and the establishment of Mahila Marts in Khammam to market women’s products. He emphasized that “Women’s Progress is Telangana’s Progress” and noted the government’s efforts to make one crore women financially empowered.
Farmers’ Welfare:
Continuing the legacy of welfare programs, the Chief Minister highlighted that Telangana’s 25.35 lakh farmers have benefited from loan waivers totaling ₹20,616 crore, a historic achievement in India. Under the Indiramma Raithu Bharosa Scheme, ₹9,000 crore was transferred to farmers’ accounts in just nine days, ensuring investment security and financial support despite challenging economic conditions.
The Chief Minister concluded by reaffirming the government’s dedication to building a Telangana that combines democratic ideals, social justice, world-class education, women empowerment, and farmers’ prosperity, aiming to set an example for the entire nation.
