BRS Member Criticizes Congress Government in Telangana Council

Hyderabad, 21 December (Patriotic Views) – BRS MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha strongly criticized the Congress government over the Bho Bharati Bill, calling it detrimental to farmers. She termed the Dharani portal a robust and transparent system for protecting land rights and warned that its abolition would increase land-related complications and cause significant harm to farmers.

Kavitha stated that the Dharani portal had successfully eliminated illegal encroachments and fraudulent practices in land transactions, ensuring transparency. The system had freed farmers from lengthy legal disputes and court cases. The process of land registration and mutation, completed within 42 minutes through Dharani, saved farmers both time and money.

The BRS leader accused the government of aggravating farmers’ issues by dismantling such an efficient system. She emphasized that Dharani provided farmers with full ownership rights and safeguarded their lands, while the BRS government extended financial support to farmers through initiatives like Rythu Bandhu and other schemes.

Kalvakuntla Kavitha warned that the decision to abolish Dharani would prove to be a historic blunder by the Congress government. She urged the government to retain the existing transparent system while implementing phased land surveys to address farmers’ concerns.

She reiterated that farmers are prepared to fight for their land rights and called for the restoration of effective systems like Dharani to protect their interests.
