Revanth Reddy Slams KTR, Says BJP Backing BRS in Jubilee Hills By-Election

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy launched a scathing attack on BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao, accusing him of neglecting Jubilee Hills constituency during his tenure. Addressing a massive rally at a corner meeting in Erragadda division today, the CM alleged that the BJP was extending support to the BRS in the ongoing Jubilee Hills by-election as a “return favour” for K. Chandrashekhar Rao’s backing of Prime Minister Narendra Modi during several crucial occasions, including the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
“The BRS is seeking votes on emotional grounds. When Congress leader P. Janardhan Reddy passed away in 2007, KCR insulted the PJR family by making them wait outside for three hours. Now, the same party is trying to play with sentiments to win votes,” Revanth Reddy said.
Continuing his criticism, the CM blamed KTR for the problems faced by the residents of Jubilee Hills. “Today, KTR and Harish Rao are roaming in autos after their car was dumped in the garage. Why didn’t KTR resolve the issues of minorities when he was in power for ten years?” the Chief Minister questioned.
Highlighting his government’s achievements, Revanth Reddy said that the Congress government had filled over 70,000 jobs and implemented promises like issuing ration cards, 200 units of free power, and free RTC travel for women.
Taking a personal dig at KTR, the CM remarked, “A man who doesn’t take care of his own sister Kavitha—how can he take care of others like Sunitha after the by-election?”
Revanth Reddy also pointed out that Congress MLA Ganesh was developing Secunderabad Cantonment with ₹4,000 crore and promised similar progress in Jubilee Hills if the people elected Congress candidate Naveen Yadav. “Naveen Yadav will continue the legacy of PJR and ensure development for all,” he said, urging voters to elect Naveen with a margin of 30,000 votes.
The Chief Minister also slammed Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy for objecting to former cricketer Mohammad Azharuddin’s induction into the state cabinet. “Naveen Yadav as MLA and Azharuddin as minister will together work for the welfare of Jubilee Hills residents,” he assured.
