No Permission for DJs During Festivals: Narayanpet SP
Narayanpet, Aug 21 (Abdul Raheem):
District Superintendent of Police (SP) Yogesh Gautam, IPS, held a peace meeting with Muslim religious leaders at the SP office on Thursday ahead of Milad-un-Nabi and Vinayaka Chavithi festivals.
Extending greetings to the public, the SP urged citizens to celebrate the festivals peacefully and harmoniously, respecting all faiths. He announced that DJ systems will not be permitted during the festivities in Narayanpet district, citing concerns for public health and safety, especially of children and the elderly. “Anyone found violating this order will face strict legal action, and the equipment will be seized,” he warned.
He also issued guidelines on the installation of religious flags, instructing that flags should only be placed at traditional, designated locations and not in new areas. The public must inform police before installation, and arrangements will be made in coordination with municipal and revenue authorities. Once the celebrations conclude, flags must be removed immediately, failing which municipal staff will do so in the presence of police.
The SP assured that issues raised by community leaders will be addressed to ensure the smooth conduct of festivals. He also mentioned that peace meetings at police station levels will be organized with officials from all departments and festival committees.
Appealing for public cooperation, SP Gautam urged citizens to inform police or dial 100 in case of any problems during the festivities.
The meeting was attended by Additional SP Md. Riyaz Ul Haq, CI Shivashankar, SI Venkateswarlu, along with Muslim community elders from across the district
