Minorities Welfare Minister Mohammed Azharuddin Launches Economic Support and Skill Development Schemes for Minority Communities in Telangana

Hyderabad, February 18:
The Telangana Government, through the Telangana Minorities Finance Corporation, launched a series of economic support, asset distribution, and skill development initiatives aimed at strengthening the socio-economic status of minority communities across the state. The programme was held at Red Rose Palace, Nampally, in the presence of several dignitaries and public representatives.

The event was attended by the Hon’ble Minister for Minority Welfare, Mohammed Azharuddin, who participated as the Chief Guest and formally launched the ongoing schemes designed to promote financial empowerment, employment opportunities, and self-sustainability among minority beneficiaries.

Addressing the gathering, the Minister highlighted the government’s commitment to inclusive growth and emphasized the importance of economic assistance, skill development, and self-employment opportunities in improving the livelihoods of minority families. He stated that the schemes would provide direct support to beneficiaries, particularly women and youth, enabling them to become financially independent.

Among the dignitaries present on the occasion were Government Chief Whip in the Legislative Council, Dr. Patnam Mahender Reddy; State Government Advisor Shabbir Ali; Telangana Minorities Finance Corporation Chairman Obedulla Kotwal; TMREIS Chairman Fayeem Qureshi; MLCs Imfendi and Mirza Rahmath Baig; Minority Welfare Department Secretary Shafiullah; and Medchal DCC President Vajresh Yadav, along with officials and beneficiaries.

The programme included distribution of economic assistance under various schemes, asset support for self-employment, and the launch of training and placement initiatives for minority youth for the financial year 2025–26. Special focus was placed on empowering minority women through financial grants and providing employment-oriented training to enhance skill development.

Officials stated that the initiative reflects the government’s continued efforts to ensure sustainable development and equal opportunities for minority communities across Telangana. The event concluded with appreciation for the beneficiaries and a call for effective implementation of the schemes to maximize outreach and impact.
