“Minister Seetha akka reviews TG Foods activities, emphasizes production of quality food items”

At the Mission Bhagiratha Conference Hall in Erramanzil, Minister for Women and Child Welfare Seethakka conducted a detailed review of the activities of TG Foods. The meeting was attended by TG Foods Chairman M.A. Faheem, Department Secretary Anita Ramachandran, TG Foods MD Chandrashekhar Reddy, along with other senior officials.

During the review, the Minister personally tasted the newly introduced “Bal Amrutham” and “Breakfast Powder.” She instructed that sugar content be reduced and milk content enhanced to make the products healthier and tastier for children.

Seethakka emphasized that the machinery at TG Foods must be utilized to its full potential. At present, around 2,600 metric tons of Bal Amrutham, Bal Amrutham Plus, and snacks are being produced every month, but the industry has much higher production capacity which must be put to effective use.

The Minister directed officials to prepare an action plan to produce fortified rice, ready-to-cook breakfast powder for Anganwadi centers, and chikkis through TG Foods, thereby ensuring nutritional support to lakhs of children and mothers across Telangana.

Stating that the matter is directly linked to the lives of lakhs of children, Seethakka warned that no negligence will be tolerated. She called on staff to work with discipline and cautioned that strict action would be taken against those skipping duties under the guise of union activities.

Highlighting employee welfare, she said promotions and compassionate appointments have already been implemented. Further, she instructed that a safety audit of TG Foods machinery be conducted and that inspections of the warehouses be carried out in coordination with the Central Warehousing Corporation
