Minister Ponnam Prabhakar Holds Teleconference on BC Gurukul Schools and Hostels
Hyderabad – BC Welfare Minister Ponnam Prabhakar conducted a teleconference to review the latest situation in BC Gurukul schools and hostels. The meeting was attended by Principal Secretary for BC Welfare Sridhar, Commissioner Bala Mayadevi, Gurukul Secretary Saidulu, Joint Secretaries Shyam Prasad and Tirupati Reddy, along with other senior officials.
The Minister instructed all principals and wardens to remain alert regarding students’ health in view of heavy rains and the possibility of seasonal diseases. He emphasized that regular health check-ups of students must be conducted, campuses should be cleared of grass and bushes to prevent insects, and drinking water tanks should be cleaned periodically.
He further directed that students must be provided with nutritious and hygienic food, cooking utensils should be properly maintained, and school uniforms, belts, socks, and sports materials must be supplied on time.
The Minister also stressed that 100% of seats in all schools should be filled, ensuring no vacancies remain, and that the academic syllabus should be completed within the stipulated time
