Medical College in KodangalAdmissions to Begin Next YearHealth Minister’s Revelation in Council

Hyderabad, December 19 (Patriotic Views) – Health Minister Damodar Raj Narasimha announced that a medical college is being established in the Kodangal constituency, represented by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. He revealed that admissions to the Kodangal college will commence from the next academic year. Along with the medical college, nursing and paramedical colleges will also be initiated. The minister provided these updates while answering several health-related questions posed by members in the Legislative Council.
The minister highlighted that eight new medical colleges were inaugurated this year. He stated that each college has been allocated 50 seats, and faculty appointments have been made in compliance with NMC regulations.
The health minister also shared that over 2,500 diagnostic machines are available across all hospitals. Special cells have been established for the maintenance and repair of these machines. He added that MRI scanning services will be made available as needed, and the necessary HR will be recruited to operate these machines.
The minister announced the launch of mobile screening services for cancer detection and stated that regional cancer centers would also be set up.
Referring to government hospitals as public assets, the minister emphasized efforts to provide super-specialty medical services in districts alongside Hyderabad. As part of this initiative, several senior doctors, who have been serving in Hyderabad for a long time, have been transferred to districts. He assured that steps are being taken to ensure that 90% of treatments are made available in districts in the coming days.
