MBT Delegation Flags Bad Conditions in Female Maternity Ward at Nizamabad Government Hospital
Nizamabad, December 15 (MD Akber–Patriotic Views): A delegation of Majlis Bachao Tehreek (MBT) leaders led by Abdul Quader Sajid, MBT State General Secretary, along with Meer Basharath Ali, MBT District President, and Abdul Basith, MBT Town President, accompanied by Mohammed Farooq, Shiak Amjad, Mohsn Balala, and Rahmath Ali, submitted a representation to Government Hospital Superintendent Dr. P. Srinivas highlighting serious deficiencies in the Female Maternity Ward at Nizamabad Government Hospital. The delegation stated that basic facilities were lacking, with washrooms in unhygienic and unusable condition, and alleged that staff had locked the washroom near the ward, causing severe hardship to delivery patients. They pointed out the non-availability of wheelchairs, forcing even cesarean patients to walk to distant washrooms, risking their health and dignity. The leaders also complained about broken electric switches, continued negligence, and abusive and disrespectful behaviour by some staff members and scavengers towards patients and attendants. They demanded a thorough inquiry, strict action against those responsible, and immediate restoration of essential facilities. Responding positively, Superintendent Dr. P. Srinivas assured that all issues would be addressed promptly. In a later press statement, the MBT delegation said they would wait three to four days for implementation and warned of approaching the Nizamabad District Collector if assurances were not fulfilled.
