Massive Empowerment Initiative for Minority Women: 10,490 Sewing Machines Distributed under INDIRAMMA MINORITY MAHILA SHAKTI Scheme

In a significant step towards empowering minority women through self-employment, Hon’ble Minister for Revenue Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy Sahab and Hon’ble Minister for Tourism Sri Jupally Krishna Rao distributed sewing machines and handed over allotment orders to the beneficiaries under the INDIRAMMA MINORITY MAHILA SHAKTI scheme at a grand event held in Wanaparthy district.

This initiative, implemented by the Telangana State Minorities Finance Corporation (TGMFC) under the Chairmanship of Janab Mohd Obedulla Kothwal Sahab, marks the beginning of a large-scale empowerment drive. In the first phase, 10,490 sewing machines are being distributed across 9 districts. The second phase will see the distribution of an additional 33,750 machines throughout Telangana.

The Hon’ble Chairman, TGMFC, Janab Mohd Obedulla Kothwal Sahab, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Hon’ble Chief Minister Garu for launching this impactful initiative, which aims to provide self-employment opportunities to poor and trained minority women, fostering economic independence and dignity.

The event was graced by several dignitaries including Sri Chinna Reddy Garu, Sri Mallu Ravi Garu (Hon’ble MP, Nagarkurnool), local MLAs, MLCs, the District Collector, TGMFC Officers, and DMWO.

This distribution drive underlines the Telangana Government’s commitment to inclusive development and support for marginalized communities, especially minority women, by enabling sustainable livelihoods through skill-based assistance.
