Kamareddy District Flood Situation Reviewed by Minister Seethakka

District In-charge Minister Seethakka conducted a teleconference to review the flood situation in Kamareddy district. The meeting was attended by Government Advisor Shabbir Ali, Zaheerabad MP Suresh Shetkar, the District Collector, SP, and officials from all departments.

Officials briefed the Minister on the intensity of rainfall, flood levels, and damages in the district. Although rainfall has reduced, the Minister emphasized that there should be no lapse in alertness. She directed that relief operations must continue without interruption until the rains completely subside.

Minister Seethakka’s directives:

Officials must conduct field visits in affected areas.

Residents in inundated low-lying houses must be immediately shifted to rehabilitation centers.

Steps should be taken to pump out water from flooded houses.

Departments of Electricity, Agriculture, Drinking Water, and Panchayati Raj must assess damages immediately and submit reports.

Officials should remain available at the ground level to instill confidence among the public.

Sanitation works in villages must be intensified to prevent the spread of diseases.

Public entry near streams and tanks must be strictly controlled.

Advance warnings should be issued in flood-prone areas to keep people alert.

Utmost care should be taken to prevent any loss of life.

The Minister assured that once weather conditions improve, she will personally tour the district and review the situation on the ground.
