Jamaat-e-Islami Women’s Wing Condemns Nitish Kumar’s Alleged Misconduct

Delegation Submits Memorandum to Nizamabad Collector Seeking Action for Women’s Dignity and Religious FreedomNizamabad, December 23 (MD Akber- Patriotic Views): Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Nizamabad, has condemned an incident in which Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar allegedly pulled the hijab of a Muslim woman doctor at a function in Bihar, describing the act as indecent and unbecoming of a constitutional authority. The organisation stated that the incident violated a woman’s dignity, bodily autonomy, and the constitutional guarantee of religious freedom. A delegation comprising Wasim Kausar, Amreen Naziya Khanum, Rahila Ishrat, Nafees Sultana, Saliha Parveen, Nadia Yusuf, Takhweem Kausar, Kausar, and Hina Kausar met District Collector T. Vinay Krishna Reddy and submitted a memorandum seeking that the matter be forwarded to the President of India, the Governors of Telangana and Bihar, the National Commission for Women, the Bihar State Commission for Women, and the National Human Rights Commission for appropriate action. The delegation clarified that the issue was not political but related to women’s honour, human dignity, and constitutional rights. District representatives demanded preventive measures against public humiliation of women. Led by Abdul Sattar Khan Amjad, Abdul Raheem, Shaik Hussain, and other office-bearers, the delegation urged firm administrative response.
