Malkajgiri MP Etela Rajender said that the life and struggles of Bahujan emperor Sardar Sarvai Papanna Goud Maharaj continue to inspire generations, reminding people of courage, self-respect, and sacrifice.

Speaking at the unveiling of Papanna Goud’s statue at Mallapur crossroads, organized by the Goud Yuvajana Sangham, Rajender congratulated the organizers and recalled the warrior’s heroic legacy.

“Papanna Goud is a symbol of valor and self-respect for our community. He proved that the courage of common people knows no limits. In those days, even speaking against the king would lead to torture and imprisonment, but Papanna Goud defeated tyranny and established his rule,” Rajender said.

He added that the history of Papanna Goud still gives goosebumps, as he fought relentlessly against oppression and injustice.

Rajender emphasized that installing statues or celebrating anniversaries of great leaders is not a ritual but an opportunity to draw inspiration from their lives. He pointed out that the statues of leaders like Mahatma Jyotirao Phule, Savitribai Phule, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, and Babu Jagjivan Ram at the same crossroads symbolize the sacrifices that gave today’s generations freedom, rights, and a Constitution.

“If we are progressing towards real empowerment today, the credit goes to these great leaders,” Rajender noted. He urged the community to preserve and pass on the legacy of Goud pride, struggle, and sacrifice to future generations.

“The life of Sardar Papanna Goud is a true inspiration for all,” he affirmed.
