Patriotic Views – 09 September 2025
Kusumanchi, Telangana: Telangana Revenue, Housing, and Information Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy has assured that despite the state’s challenging financial condition, the government is committed to implementing the promises made during the election campaign. He emphasized that supporting the poor is the government’s top priority, and declared, “In the next three years, Indiramma homes will be provided to all eligible beneficiaries.”
On Tuesday, as part of his Paleru Assembly Constituency tour, the Minister participated as the chief guest in several development programs. He inaugurated the Panchayat office building constructed at a cost of ₹20 lakh in Nayakannagudem village.
In Narsimhulagudem village, he laid foundation stones for key rural road projects:
Kishtapuram–Narsimhulagudem PR Road with an investment of ₹1.33 crore
Kishtapuram–Pocharam PR Road worth ₹1.61 crore
Kishtapuram–Mutyalagudem PR Road at a cost of ₹2.40 crore
At Jujjularavupeta, he laid the foundation stone for a BT Road construction project worth ₹88 lakh connecting Jujjularavupeta R&B Road to Mallayigudem PR Road.
The Minister also inspected the construction of the new building for Kusumanchi Junior College and instructed contractors to expedite the work for timely completion.
Additionally, he inaugurated the Sand Bazaar set up at the Kusumanchi Tahsildar Office and informed, “We are providing Godavari sand at a highly subsidized rate of ₹1100 per ton for Indiramma house beneficiaries and ₹1300 per ton for other purposes.”
Later, at an event held at Kusumanchi MLA Camp Office, the Minister distributed Katamai Protector Kits to a total of 124 beneficiaries — 42 from Nelakondapalli Mandal and 82 from Khammam Rural Mandal. He also provided Kalyanalakshmi cheques to 18 beneficiaries of Kusumanchi Mandal and distributed sewing machines to 20 Christian women from all the mandals in Paleru Assembly Constituency.
Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy further criticized the previous BRS government, stating, “The former government left a debt burden of ₹8.15 lakh crore on the state and abandoned housing projects fearing loss of commission. However, the Kaleshwaram project was built at a very low cost, showing that large projects are indeed achievable.”
He reminded, “The current Indiramma Government is honestly working for the poor, and so far, we have provided 4.5 lakh Indiramma houses across the state.” The Minister gave a strong assurance that the government will continue its efforts until every eligible person is provided a home.
