Hyderabad, August 19 — During the Infrastructure and Capital Works Ministers’ Committee meeting held at the State Secretariat, Minister Seethakka emphasized that the current people’s government is giving high priority to providing basic infrastructure in rural areas.
She stated that projects are being prioritized based on the available budget, and works that can be completed with minimal expenditure are being taken up first. Projects worth ₹3 crore have already crossed 50% completion, she added.
Minister Seethakka highlighted that decisions on which works to initiate first will be made only after thorough ground-level assessments. She criticized the previous government for initiating projects worth thousands of crores without allocating proper budget provisions, leaving the current administration to carefully assess how to proceed with those pending works.
She clarified that the government will take up projects strictly based on the release of funds, ensuring transparent and responsible use of state resources.
This approach is seen as a significant step toward holistic development and empowerment of rural communities across the state.
