Husnabad, December 10, 2024 Patriotic Views: Minister for Transport and BC Welfare, Ponnam Prabhakar, attended the inauguration of CM Cup 2024 at the mini stadium in Husnabad today. He initiated the Kabaddi and Volleyball competitions and encouraged the players to strive for victory, urging them to try again even if they lose.

During the event, Minister Ponnam Prabhakar emphasized the importance of participating in sports not only for physical fitness but also to stay mentally strong. He mentioned that the state government is actively promoting sports and is working towards establishing a Youth India Sports University. He stressed the need for a large number of students from Husnabad to be enrolled in this university, urging PET teachers to work towards this goal.

He shared his experience from a visit to South Korea, where he observed a sports university that helped the small nation win 32 Olympic medals. Minister Ponnam Prabhakar highlighted that if Telangana aims to succeed in the Olympics in the future, athletes must first participate in state, national, and Asian Games, and win there. He announced that players who perform at the national level will be rewarded with ₹1 lakh.

The Minister appealed to parents and teachers to encourage children to engage in both education and sports to ensure their success in life.
