Hyderabad: The Department of Political Science of Government Degree College for Women, Hussainialam, organized the inaugural ceremony of the Certificate Course in Alternative Dispute Resolutions on Saturday, 23rd August 2025.

Dr. Ahsan Ali Hamoomi, noted social reformer, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and highlighted the significance of Alternative Dispute Resolution in contemporary society. Sri Barkat Ali Khan, Advocate, High Court of Telangana, attended as the Guest of Honour and elaborated on the subject, offering valuable insights for students.

Dr. Mohammad Ghouse, Vice-Principal and Course Director, presented detailed information about the course including its duration, timetable, and evaluation process. Earlier, IQAC Coordinator Dr. K. Sreedevi gave an overview of the college, while Academic Coordinator Dr. P. Latha highlighted the developmental activities being undertaken. Certificate Courses Coordinator Dr. G. H. Anuradha and DOST Coordinator Dr. K. Srikanth also spoke on the importance of students enrolling in certificate courses for skill enhancement.

As part of the event, the Organizing Committee felicitated the distinguished guests with a memento and shawl. The programme was moderated by Dr. Farhana Sulthana. Faculty members from various departments actively participated, while a large number of students attended the session with enthusiasm.
