Government Sanctions ₹700 Crore for Road Construction in 429 Tribal Habitations: Minister Adluri Laxman

Hyderabad | Secretariat

Minister Adluri Laxman announced that the Telangana government has sanctioned ₹700 crore for the construction of roads in 429 tribal habitations, giving priority to improving connectivity in tribal tandas.

He said the government’s focus is on addressing road infrastructure in tribal areas, noting that recent floods had damaged roads in several districts. Funds were sanctioned under GO 240 and the ST Sub-Plan, including allocations for 236 hamlet villages under ITDA limits. The Minister added that tenders for the works will be called very soon.

Laxman criticized the previous government, stating that for ten years tribal tandas were completely neglected. He thanked Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka, and Minister Seethakka for releasing the much-needed funds.

Responding to MLC K. Kavitha’s recent remarks, Laxman said her statements indirectly admitted that corruption took place in the Kaleshwaram project. He clarified, “We are not indulging in vindictive politics. There is no need for us to hide behind Harish Rao or Santosh Rao. Kavitha should look after her family disputes instead of dragging us into them.”
