Bhainsa 6/January (Patriotic Views) Former MLA of Mudhol constituency and Congress Party Incharge Narayana Rao Patel met Telangana State Irrigation Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy in Hyderabad and represented that timely completion of Package 28 which is a long pending irrigation canal issue in Mudhol constituency and application was submitted for providing irrigation water to farmers. He also requested for early completion of pending projects. The people of Mudhol have access to the Godavari River but through Package 28, farmers have been requested to make full use of Godavari water and the honorable minister has been requested to divert the river water to barren lands and benefit the farmers of Mudhol. The honorable minister responded positively and assured that Bhosle Narayan Rao Patel, along with the officials, will review the work of Package 28 and ensure the completion of the work. He said that since independence, the farmers of Mudhol have been facing difficulties due to shortage of irrigation water during the cultivation of rainfed crops. He explained to the minister that about 50 thousand acres of land will be provided with irrigation water from Package 28, to which the minister said that he would soon bring a comprehensive report and hold a review meeting with the senior officials and assured to resolve the problems immediately.
