“Faheemuddin Qureshi Urges Telangana Citizens to Participate in State-Wide Integrated Census for Accurate Socio-Economic Data”

Hyderabad:16 November (Patriotic Views) Mohammed Faheemuddin Qureshi, President and Vice Chairman of the Telangana Minorities Residential Educational Institutions Society (TGMREIS), has urged the people of Telangana to actively participate in the ongoing state-wide integrated Census. This important initiative aims to gather detailed socio-economic data across all communities, castes, and segments of society to better address their needs.

Expressing his gratitude to the Congress leadership for initiating the Census, Qureshi also thanked Hon’ble Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy for making the necessary arrangements to launch the survey. He stressed the significance of widespread participation to create an accurate picture of the socio-economic status of every community within Telangana.

Speaking on the importance of the Census, Qureshi stated, “Once the Census is complete, the government will be able to focus welfare measures, schemes, and other programs on areas that need attention, ensuring justice and support for all sections of society.”

In response to concerns raised by opposition parties, Qureshi reassured the public not to be swayed by misconceptions. He emphasized that the state machinery is fully mobilized to complete the Census as scheduled, and urged citizens to cooperate with Census staff and provide accurate information.

He also highlighted the establishment of a dedicated BC Commission to investigate the backwardness quota in local bodies for backward class citizens in line with orders from the Hon’ble Telangana High Court. This initiative, he said, would further strengthen the data collected during the integrated census.

Qureshi concluded by noting that Telangana’s Census initiative could serve as a model for other states, providing valuable insights into caste demographics and socio-economic conditions that are essential for promoting social justice and targeted development.
