Nirmal, Dec. 30(Abdul Majid): The two-day District Science Fair and INSPIRE Exhibition, hosted at St. Thomas High School here, concluded successfully on Tuesday, showcasing the scientific talent and innovative spirit of students from across the district.

A total of 843 models were displayed at the exhibition, including 724 science models and 119 INSPIRE models, presented by students from government and private schools. After evaluation, seven models each from the Junior and Senior Science categories, and 12 models from the INSPIRE category, were selected for participation in the State-level Science Fair and INSPIRE Exhibition.

Mementos and certificates were distributed to the selected students by RJD Satyanarayana Reddy, in the presence of District Educational Officer Bhojana and other officials.

The exhibition attracted thousands of students from various educational institutions across Nirmal district, who visited the venue and keenly observed the models, expressing appreciation for the creativity and innovation on display.

Educationists lauded the initiative, stating that such science fairs play a crucial role in promoting scientific temperament, logical thinking, research aptitude and innovation among students.

Teachers, parents and participants expressed satisfaction over the smooth conduct of the event and congratulated the Education Department, organisers and school management, while urging that similar academic programmes be continued in future.

The valedictory function was attended by Shaik Shabbir Ali, President, TSPTA; Dr. Sajid Meraj, General Secretary, TSPTA; office-bearers of various teachers’ associations and other dignitaries.
