Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka Clears ₹1,032 Crore in Pending Dues — Major Relief for Employees and Contractors

In a major financial decision aimed at easing the burden on government employees and contractors, Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka has ordered the release of ₹1,032 crore in a single go. The amount includes ₹712 crore towards pending employee dues and ₹320 crore for unpaid bills under the Panchayat Raj and Roads & Buildings (R&B) departments.

The announcement came after a review meeting chaired by the Deputy CM with Finance Department officials at Praja Bhavan on Friday morning.

According to official sources, the Deputy CM has been systematically clearing dues left pending by the previous government. Continuing this initiative, the latest tranche of ₹712 crore has been released to settle the outstanding dues of government employees.

In line with the government’s policy to clear all pending bills below ₹10 lakh, the Finance Department has also sanctioned ₹320 crore to settle a total of 46,956 bills under the Panchayat Raj and R&B departments. Of this, ₹95 crore covering 3,610 bills pertains to the Roads & Buildings Department, while ₹225 crore covering 43,364 bills has been released to the Panchayat Raj and rural local bodies.

Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka emphasized that the Congress government is committed to financial transparency and timely payments, ensuring that both employees and contractors receive their dues without further delay.

The review meeting was attended by Finance Department Principal Secretary Sandeep Kumar Sultania and other senior officials, who were directed to expedite the clearance of all remaining dues in the coming months.
