Daylight Theft at Shambhuni Temple Caught on CCTV in Nizamabad
Nizamabad, December 25 (MD Akber- Patriotic Views): In a shocking daylight theft, an unidentified burglar scaled the wall of the Shambhuni Temple located in the Ahmedi Bazaar area of Nizamabad city and decamped with valuable pooja articles. According to details, the thief entered the temple premises by jumping over the wall and stole silver aarti plates, other silver, copper and brass pooja items, a panch dhatu aarti plate, and copper plates before fleeing the spot. The entire sequence was captured clearly on CCTV cameras. The theft came to light when priest Raj Karan arrived, opened the temple doors, and found the pooja materials missing. Following his complaint, 2 Town Sub-Inspector Syed Mujahid visited the scene of offence and examined surrounding CCTV footage, which showed the thief entering, committing the theft, and escaping. Based on CCTV evidence, police traced a second-hand goods trader in the Mirchi Compound area under Town-IPolice Station limits, who allegedly purchased the stolen items for just Rs 200. A case has been registered, and further investigation is underway.
